Time for the people: A day with the U.S. President.
The President of the United States is one of the busiest men in the world, but his demanding schedule does not prevent him from keeping in touch with the people. When he is in Washington, there are few days when John F. Kennedy does not meet groups of citizens, legislators or overseas visitors. Some come to voice their opinions, others because the President wishes to recognize their achievements or request their support. Glance at Maj 9. 1963, when the President met a variety of people. As always, photographers were on hand. Here are higlights in pictures.
7 - 8 1:15 p.m.: At a Washington hotel, the President addresses trustees of the Committee for Economic Development, an organization of leading businessen. He held an informal questions - and-answer session after his speech.
